Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with procedures, conduct phlebotomy, and run laboratory tests in a fast-paced oncology setting. You will document results in the EMR, handle QA/QC, and prepare patient encounter forms for billing.

The role requires a year of clinic-based MA experience, BLS, and the ability to travel between sites. Proficiency with EMR and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Certification: BLS required.
• Experience: At least one year as a medical assistant in a clinic/physician’s office, including venipuncture.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other locations.
• Technical: Proficient in MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures and phlebotomy.
• Perform laboratory testing and QA/QC checks.
• Obtain vital signs and patient measurements.
• Document in EMR and prepare encounter forms for billing.
• Schedule outside testing and referrals as ordered by physicians.
