Job summary

American Oncology Network AON is seeking a Medical Assistant who will assist physicians with procedures, perform phlebotomy, handle lab tests, and manage QA/QC across a multi-site oncology setting.

The role requires high school or GED, BLS certification, and at least one year of venipuncture experience. Travel to other clinic locations and EMR documentation are routine parts of the job.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of medical assistant experience with venipuncture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office and perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
• Conduct quality control, instrument troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare slides and handle specimen processing, reporting results in EMR.
• Document test reports and maintain logs for QA/QC and compliance.
• Follow safety guidelines, HIPAA rules, and regulatory requirements.
