Job summary

Veolia invites a Field Service Engineer to join its Water Technology team. You will manage commissioning, installation, and optimization of water treatment plants, serving as the interface between design, construction, control systems, and customers.

Responsibilities include participating in design reviews, conducting factory tests, defining problems, and applying water treatment chemistry calculations. Travel about 70–80% across North America and internationally, working remotely when

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or international equivalent with 5+ years' service/maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, piping, welding specs, and civil engineering notations.
• Experience with water treatment systems including Reverse Osmosis, Ion Exchange, and Thermal systems.
• Willingness to travel 70-80% annually across North America and internationally.
• Strong customer relationship and communication skills; safety-conscious and able to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Model Reviews, Engineering Design Meetings, and Safety in Design reviews to ensure accessibility, maintenance, and operability of process equipment.
• Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and client-designated representatives.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to improve operations and determine design viability.
• Apply mathematical operations to water treatment chemistry calculations, plane geometry, chemistry formulas, test reliability and validity, budget analysis, and Time & Material contract cost monitoring.
• Develop and execute Commissioning Schedules and Performance Plans for Water Treatment Plants.
• Commission Water Treatment Plants by ensuring process equipment and control systems perform per specifications.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites.
