Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Service Engineer for its Water Technology division in the United States. You will manage water treatment plant commissioning, installation, and optimization, serving as the interface among design engineering, construction teams, control systems, and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 5+ years service/maintenance in industrial environment
• Knowledge of water treatment systems (RO, ion exchange, thermal) and related chemistry
• Experience starting up equipment, commissioning, and optimizing processes
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and data interpretation
• Ability to travel extensively (70-80% annually) across North America and internationally

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews and safety reviews to ensure accessibility and operability of equipment
• Perform factory acceptance tests of control systems with clients
• Define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions to improve operations
• Develop and execute commissioning schedules and ensure equipment and control systems meet specs
• Develop operating procedures and training for operators and customers
• Provide on-site technical instruction for installation, operation, calibration and maintenance
• Create technical reports and document equipment operation for future outages
