Job summary

Veolia Water Technology is seeking a Field Service Engineer to manage commissioning, installation, and optimization of water treatment plants, interfacing with design engineering, construction, control systems, and customers. You will perform commissioning schedules, PLC/HMI tasks, system checkout, and on-site training for operators, while traveling 70–80% across North America and internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in service/maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of water treatment systems and technologies including RO, ion exchange, and thermal systems.
• Ability to perform equipment startup, commissioning, and process optimization.
• Strong water treatment chemistry knowledge and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in model reviews, design meetings, and safety reviews to ensure accessibility and operability of process equipment.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to improve operations and determine design viability.
• Perform PLC/HMI activities including IO checkout, networking, program download, ladder logic, and basic coding.
• Develop and execute Commissioning Schedules and Performance Plans for Water Treatment Plants.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
