Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Service Engineer for its Water Technology division in the United States. The role focuses on commissioning, installation, and optimization of water treatment plants, serving as the critical interface between design engineering, construction teams, control systems, and customers.

The candidate will conduct factory acceptance tests, lead commissioning activities, and support operations through SOPs, training, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or international equivalent with 5+ years' service/maintenance experience
• Knowledge of water treatment systems including RO, ion exchange, and thermal
• Willingness to travel 70–80% annually (North America and internationally)
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills
• Experience with commissioning and process optimization

Responsibilities

• Engineering Support: participate in reviews, design meetings, and safety in design to ensure accessibility and operability of equipment
• Construction: act as liaison between design engineering and construction teams; manage outside vendors and ensure compliance with specs
• Commissioning: develop and execute commissioning schedules and performance plans; perform PLC/HMI IO checkout and basic programming
• Operations: develop SOPs and log sheets; provide training and post-installation service and reporting
