Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to manage commissioning, installation, and optimization of water treatment plants. You will interface between design engineering, construction teams, control systems, and customers, ensuring safety and operational excellence in diverse environments.

Responsibilities include commissioning schedules, PLC/HMI tasks, customer training, and post-installation support. Frequent travel (70–80%) across North America will be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
• Strong water treatment chemistry knowledge and ability to apply engineering principles to troubleshooting
• Experience in commissioning, construction, or services
• Demonstrated ability to perform startup, commissioning, and process optimization
• Valid passport and driver''s license; willingness to travel 70–80% annually (North America & international)

Responsibilities

• Engineering Support: participate in design reviews and safety in design to ensure accessibility and operability of equipment
• Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and representatives
• Define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions to improve operations and determine viability
• Apply water treatment calculations and chemistry knowledge to optimize processes and budgets
• Construction: liaison between design and construction teams during erection of water treatment plants
• Commissioning: develop schedules and performance plans, conduct IO checkout, and train customers on operation and maintenance
• Operations: develop SOPs, log sheets, and provide post-installation training and reports
