This remote United States role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to navigate EHR and scheduling systems.

You will backfill openings, handle waitlists, and collaborate with revenue cycle teams to support access and payer-related issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in healthcare scheduling or front-end RCM.
• Experience supporting behavioral health services is preferred.
• Experience using EHR and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing patient appointment scheduling after intake and assessment.
• Coordinate patient appointments based on provider availability, service requirements, location, and scheduling guidelines.
• Confirm appointment details with patients, including date, time, provider, location, and telehealth when applicable.
• Maintain accurate provider calendars and appointment information within scheduling systems.
• Coordinate scheduling needs with clinical, intake, authorization, and other teams.
• Respond to rescheduling requests and secure replacement appointments.
• Manage provider changes, location changes, and transitions between in-person and telehealth.
• Document appointment changes and communications in a timely manner.
• Escalate scheduling issues to appropriate teams when needed.
• Maintain waitlists and identify capacity to backfill open slots.
• Coordinate with authorization teams to ensure prior authorizations are in place.
• Support telehealth scheduling workflows and reminders.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and accurate billing readiness.
