Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Rare Disease Business Manager (RDBM) to drive sales and territory growth for narcolepsy type 1, collaborating with regional leaders and cross-functional teams to educate HCPs and ensure patient access to a new therapeutic option.

You will establish relationships with sleep specialists, neurologists and clinics, analyze market trends, and manage brand execution after regulatory approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device; OR 2+ years at Takeda.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to navigate complex selling environments and influence decision makers.
• Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills.
• Demonstrated territory planning and account management abilities.
• Understanding of payer access and reimbursement at territory, regional, and state levels.
• Adaptability to changing market conditions and customer needs.
• Learning agility with ability to compliantly apply clinical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and territory growth through effective strategies and tactics.
• Educate healthcare professionals on narcolepsy type 1 and orexin therapies.
• Execute brand strategies and manage activities to meet sales goals.
• Build relationships with sleep specialists, neurologists, pulmonologists and clinics.
• Analyze local and regional trends to tailor regional strategies.
• Document account profiles and post-call activities in CRM.
• Manage territory budget in line with Takeda policies.
• Collaborate with Patient Access, Market Access, Marketing teams.
