Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Rare Disease Business Manager (RDBM) for the NC/virtual territory to drive sales and educate healthcare professionals on narcolepsy type 1. You will collaborate with Regional leaders and cross-functional teams to implement sales plans and build relationships with sleep specialists, neurologists, and clinics.

Ideal candidates have pharma sales experience, strong communication, and ability to navigate complex accounts, with residency in or near the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required or equivalent.
• 3+ years selling in pharma/biotech/medical devices or 2+ years at Takeda.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to navigate complex buying processes and influence decisions.
• Strong business sense and strategic sales planning.
• Territory planning and data-driven strategy.
• Collaborative work across cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of payer access and reimbursement at multiple levels.
• Adaptability to market changes and learning agility.
• Must reside within or near the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive results and territory growth via execution of sales plans.
• Educate healthcare professionals with clinical knowledge and product information.
• Execute brand strategies to meet monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
• Engage sleep specialists, neurologists, pulmonologists and clinics.
• Analyze local and regional trends to tailor strategies.
• Maintain CRM accounts, pre-call plans and post-call activities.
• Manage territory budget consistent with Takeda policies.
• Collaborate with Patient Access, Market Access and Marketing.
• Uphold Takeda compliance and ethics.
