Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. is seeking a Rare Disease Business Manager to drive sales and territory growth in narcolepsy type 1.

You will educate health care professionals, implement sales plans, and collaborate across Patient Access, Market Access, and Marketing to advance product adoption. You will build strong HCP relationships, analyze local trends, and manage the territory budget while adhering to Takeda compliance and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (BS/BA).
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience, or 2+ years at Takeda.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to navigate a complex selling environment and influence multiple decision makers.
• Strong strategic planning and territory management skills.
• Experience with payer access and reimbursement within territory, regional, and state levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 25-50% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and territory growth through effective execution of sales strategies.
• Educate healthcare professionals on narcolepsy type 1 and orexin therapies.
• Develop and execute local and regional market strategies using approved materials.
• Collaborate with Patient Access, Market Access, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain CRM records and post-call activities to optimize account profiles.
• Manage territory budget in line with Takeda policies.
