Job summary

American College of Education is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, accessibility, and performance of our online education platforms in a remote, virtual-first environment.

You will develop test strategies, plans, and cases; execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing; and collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to improve release quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or related fields.
• Experience creating and executing manual test plans, cases, and defect management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with testing tools such as Azure DevOps or similar.
• Experience with SIS and CRM platforms like Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
• Experience with API testing and SQL/data validation preferred.
• ISTQB/Certified Tester or Agile QA certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Hands-on with test automation scripting or frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and executes test plans and cases traceable to requirements.
• Performs functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, and exploratory testing.
• Tracks defects and validates resolution.
• Collaborates with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies.
• Validates performance, usability, accessibility, and user experience.
• Creates test data, documentation, and release readiness reports.
• Analyzes defect trends to improve quality.
• Supports release validation and QA readiness for production.
