Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. is seeking a QA/Test Engineer to work with our IT Development teams. You will design test plans and scenarios, write automated tests, and report on execution status to ensure the end user receives the expected functionality.

The role emphasizes exploratory testing, collaboration with product design, and adherence to Agile processes. Remote work with a strong emphasis on communication and problem-solving is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in writing test cases, performing manual testing, and conducting exploratory testing is required.
• Basic experience with automated test scripting and monitoring testing.
• Familiarity with SQL testing and Agile software development processes is required.
• Preferred: ASTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell, and experience with CI/CD tools such as GCP, Azure, or OpenShift.
• Preferred: Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Preferred: Experience with SDLC tools such as Jira, TFS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems.
• Write, execute and monitor automated testing suites.
• Perform exploratory testing for application under testing.
