Job summary

Simera Professional is seeking an Application Tester to validate software across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. You will design and execute manual and automated tests, review requirements, and create test cases to ensure quality before release.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers, documenting defects with clear steps and expected results. A proactive tester helps improve testing processes in a remote work setup.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Application Tester, QA Tester, or Software Tester.
• Hands-on experience testing software applications.
• Experience creating and executing manual test cases.
• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated tests to validate application functionality and quality.
• Review requirements, user stories, and specifications to identify testing needs.
• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and testing documentation.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.
• Provide clear reproduction steps, expected results, and actual results for reported issues.
• Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing after application updates.
• Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements.
• Perform cross-parser, cross-platform, mobile, and device testing when required.
• Test application interfaces, workflows, integrations, and data flows.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to resolve issues.
• Monitor testing results and communicate quality risks.
• Support release testing, deployment validation, and production verification.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and defects.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and tools.
