Job summary

Peraton is seeking a QA Tester / Test Engineer to support Department of War applications modernization and cloud migration programs. You will perform comprehensive testing across Agile cycles, DevSecOps, and security compliance, ensuring modules, DB changes, and integrations meet functional, security, performance, and DoW compliance standards.

This position is 100% remote, offering opportunities to work with DoD systems and RMF/ATO processes while advancing test automation and release quality

Qualifications

• Strong background in QA testing and test automation.
• Experience with DoD or federal testing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute unit, regression, security, and acceptance tests for user stories.
• Manage Requirements Traceability Matrix (RITM) and write manual/automated test cases.
• Maintain testing tasks for closed and deployed user stories.
• Validate functionality against requirements including Zero Trust and RMF.
• Build and maintain automated tests within GitLab pipelines (Selenium, JUnit, utPLSQL, Fortify WebInspect, LoadRunner).
• Ensure automated testing gates are enforced before code promotion.
• Support integration testing during Strangler Pattern migrations.
• Validate data flows and module interactions during incremental deployments.
• Perform release testing following the Release Test Strategy and IMS timelines.
• Conduct security testing, SAST/DAST checks, and vulnerability assessments.
• Validate data mapping and ETL migrations between legacy systems and consolidated databases.
• Produce test plans, cases, scripts, logs, and metrics for SPO/ATO evidence.
