Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to own automated test design and deliverables for the BASIS program, including accessibility, security, and regression testing. The role is 100% remote and requires US citizenship with an active Public Trust clearance.

You will drive automation across Agile sprints, mentor junior engineers, and interface with Government stakeholders on quality metrics and release readiness within a DevSecOps framework.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software QA / test automation experience; BS/BA, or 3+ years with MS/MA.
• US citizenship with active Public Trust clearance is required.
• Hands-on automation framework design using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber.
• Strong knowledge of TDD, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for multiple testing levels.
• Integrate tests into the Gov-managed DevSecOps pipeline and ensure sprint readiness.
• Lead QA strategy, defect triage in JIRA, and report status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate accessibility testing (Section 508/WCAG) and VPAT preparation.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and drive regression coverage expansion.
