Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing for mission-critical healthcare applications in a remote, U.S.-based role. The position requires strong MUMPS/Cache experience, 10+ years in software testing, and U.S. citizenship.

You will develop test strategies, design comprehensive test plans, and oversee QA activities across HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions, while mentoring junior testers and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Experience in healthcare/government or highly regulated environments.
Experience validating EDI/HIT standards such as HL7, FHIR, HIPAA.
Experience with legacy systems and MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.

Responsibilities

Support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare apps in MUMPS/Cache environments.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
Validate enhancements, releases, defects, and upgrades.
Perform functional, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
Verify data integrity across legacy healthcare apps and interfaces.
Test HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and healthcare messaging platforms.
Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners and end users to confirm requirements.
Create test data and environments supporting healthcare workflows.
Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers.
