Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing for mission-critical healthcare applications in a remote US-based role. You will design test plans, validate HL7/FHIR transactions, and guide QA across legacy systems and modern interfaces.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software testing within healthcare/government contexts, strong MUMPS/Cache experience, and a track record mentoring junior testers while driving testing excellence and compliance with

Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, government, or similarly regulated environments.
Experience testing enterprise applications in healthcare operations.
Experience with legacy systems and long-lived mission-critical software.
Proficiency testing applications built with MUMPS and InterSystems Cache.
Ability to validate healthcare business workflows and system functionality.
Experience creating detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
Ability to validate database updates and data integrity.
Experience testing interfaces and integrations.
Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions.
Familiarity with VistA/FileMan environments.
Strong documentation skills and test metrics reporting.
Experience leading testing efforts and mentoring juniors.

Responsabilités

Support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache.
Support modernization, system enhancements, interoperability, and production support for legacy systems.
Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures for healthcare apps.
Validate enhancements, releases, defects, and upgrades.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
Verify data integrity across legacy apps, databases, and interfaces.
Test HL7, FHIR, EDIs and related standards for interoperability.
Participate in Beta/IOC testing with facilities and end users.
Analyze and troubleshoot defects and production incidents.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and users on requirements and tests.
Develop test data and environments for healthcare workflows.
Execute manual and automated testing where applicable.
Track testing metrics, defects, risks, and status reports.
Validate VistA/FileMan integrations and healthcare messaging platforms.
Support root cause analysis and verification of fixes.
Review requirements for testability and coverage.
Contribute to improvements in testing processes and standards.
Provide technical leadership on testing strategies for healthcare/government systems.
