PeoplePartners is seeking a Software QA Lead to join a fully remote role with an Australian client. The candidate will own QA delivery, drive testing improvements, and mentor Test Analysts while balancing hands-on testing with leadership.

You will help introduce risk-based testing, explore AI-assisted tools, and ensure quality is built into the release process. The role emphasizes ownership of QA strategy, collaboration across Product, Analysis, and Engineering, and a strong focus on automation,

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Proven experience leading a QA team, including coaching and performance management.
• Strong hands-on testing experience of web applications, APIs, integrations, and distributed services.
• Experience performing manual, functional, integration, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests.
• Strong troubleshooting across UI, API, database, and backend service layers.
• Working knowledge of SQL for validation and investigations.
• Experience with Agile software development environments.
• Ability to assess quality risks and communicate progress and readiness.
• Experience testing applications hosted on AWS.
• Experience using AI-assisted testing tools.
• Experience improving automated regression testing coverage and maintainability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead daily QA activities across Agile sprints and releases.
• Perform functional, integration, exploratory, regression, and automated testing.
• Test web apps, APIs, integrations, and distributed services.
• Coach and mentor Test Analysts and develop testing skills.
• Design and maintain automated test suites and coverage.
• Implement risk-based testing focusing on critical business functions.
• Investigate defects across UI, API, SQL databases and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product, Business Analysis, and Engineering to improve testability.
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, and release readiness.
