The Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET for a contract role targeting government projects. The position emphasizes CI/CD integrated automated testing, AI-driven test-script generation, and security validation across cloud-native Java services and Linux environments.

The role requires strong collaboration within Agile teams, experience with AWS and container platforms like ECS/EKS/OpenShift, and the ability to diagnose root causes and improve test coverage.

Qualifications

• Test automation at scale with QA standards and systems.
• CI/CD automated testing with GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, and analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST tests, and performance tests.
• Kubernetes/OpenShift/ECS/EKS testing across AWS.
• Security and compliance testing (SAST/DAST/IaC) and policy checks.
• Experience with AWS multi-account VPC patterns.
• Linux proficiency in Java-based environments.
• Strong troubleshooting in cloud and lab environments.
• Effective communication in Scaled Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops and manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate directly with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
