Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET for a remote contract role focused on scalable QA systems and CI/CD-integrated testing. The position requires US citizenship with an active Public Trust clearance and offers a benefits package for W2 consultants.

Responsibilities include developing automated test scripts, AI-assisted testing, and feature testing of cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift. Collaboration with Agile teams is key, with Linux and cloud environments emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale test automation standards.
• CI/CD automated testing in GitLab, Tekton or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding and debugging.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and performance testing.
• Container/Kubernetes testing in ECS, EKS, OpenShift.
• Security and compliance testing incl. SAST/DAST/SCA.
• AWS multi-account patterns and on-prem to AWS migration.
• FISMA High, FedRAMP High, STIGS, NIST 800-53.
• Linux and Java-based app environments.
• Strong debugging in cloud and lab environments.
• Scaled Agile communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops and manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate directly with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
