Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET for a remote contract position. The role emphasizes CI/CD-integrated automated testing, AI-driven test-script generation, and security/compliance validation for cloud-native Java services in AWS/Kubernetes environments.

The tester will diagnose root causes, collaborate with Agile teams, and support evidence generation for ATO. The engagement requires US citizenship with a Public Trust clearance and offers W2 benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale test automation systems.
• CI/CD-integrated testing using GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
• Proficiency with Linux-based environments and Java services.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and collaborate with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services on ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops and manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate directly with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
