Job summary

Peraton is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join the BASIS program team. This remote role focuses on automated QA across the full deployment pipeline in support of Agile sprint delivery.

You will develop and maintain automated test scripts, contribute to RTMs and UAT support, and ensure compliance with DoD quality standards. You will work under senior engineers to expand automation coverage, perform security and accessibility testing, and participate in Agile

Qualifications

• Must have public trust clearance or able to obtain one.
• Experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software testing roles.
• Foundational understanding of test automation principles and scripting in at least one framework/language.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with defect tracking tools, preferably JIRA.
• Understanding of software testing lifecycle: unit, integration, regression, UAT.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Ensure automated tests are executable by end of each sprint and integrated into DevSecOps pipeline.
• Support Test-Driven Development by writing tests before code.
• Document test activities, results, and defects in the Test Case Management system.
• Triage and track defects in JIRA and report status to stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and QA metrics reporting.
