Peraton is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to independently execute and take ownership of quality assurance and test automation on the BASIS program. This 100% remote role requires delivering automated test design, test documentation, and defect lifecycle management across Agile sprints in a DevSecOps environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum years by degree: 8+ BS/BA; 6+ MS/MA; 3+ PhD.
• Must be US Citizen.
• Able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Cybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+, CASP+)
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, Java, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices in Agile sprints.
• Proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking, sprint management, and reporting.
• Experience developing RTMs, UAT plans, and formal testing documentation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps.
• Experience with Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and VPAT preparation.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; reporting QA status to leadership and Government stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across the application portfolio.
• Ensure all automated tests are executable by the end of each Agile sprint and integrated into the DevSecOps pipeline.
• Lead Test-Driven Development (TDD) and align test coverage with requirements.
• Own the Automation State Assessment and provide completion estimates.
• Automate adjacent legacy tests to expand regression coverage per schedule.
• Evaluate automation approaches and improve test architecture and pipeline integration.
• Mentor junior QA engineers on automation best practices.
