Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to independently execute automated QA and test-automation activities on the BASIS program. You will own automated test design, documentation, and defect management, working with Government stakeholders through secure DevSecOps pipelines.

This 100% remote role requires hands-on experience with Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, and Java; you will mentor junior engineers and drive QA strategy and performance testing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; minimum of 3 years with PhD.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and scripts (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, Java).
• Working knowledge of TDD and Agile sprint cycles; proficient with JIRA.
• Experience with RTMs, UAT plans, and formal testing documentation; familiarity with DevSecOps.
• Section 508/WCAG2.0 accessibility testing and VPAT preparation.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Ensure automated tests are executable each sprint and integrated into DevSecOps pipeline.
• Lead test automation strategy, mentor junior QA engineers, and report QA metrics to stakeholders.
• Lead Section 508 accessibility testing and VPAT documentation.
• Coordinate performance/load testing in production-simulation environments and DR testing.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and maintain defect tracking and QA status reporting.
