Job summary

OmniOn Power Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to audit engineering specifications and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and customer compliance.

This 100% remote role reports to the Services Quality Leader and will track CoPQ metrics across quotation, engineering, execution, and material. The ideal candidate has 5 years in telecom/related fields, proficiency with Excel and SharePoint, and strong attention to detail to drive corrective actions and maintain rigorous

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of telecom industry experience including DC power installation/engineering, toll/fiber installation, project management.
• Experience auditing engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and audit practices (TL9000/ISO 9001 concepts).
• Ability to interpret customer requirements, standards, and contractual engineering deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint (including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis) for tracker maintenance and Cost of Quality calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document clear, objective audit evidence and findings.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Audit engineering specifications for accuracy and drive timely corrections.
• Audit engineering packages to verify compliance with customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Audit Methods of Procedure and End of Job packages to ensure safe installation practices and quality.
• Ensure version control and alignment between customer requirements, released engineering documentation, and service deliverables.
• Track cost of poor-quality (CoPQ) metrics and support corrective actions to reduce cost of quality and improve customer satisfaction.
• Identify gaps, errors, and nonconformities; initiate corrective actions and partner with cross-functional teams to implement fixes.
• Support TL 9000 metric collection, validation, and reporting for applicable service categories.
• Prepare audit checklists and gather objective evidence; track corrective actions to closure.
• Prepare audit summaries, trend analyses, and dashboards to highlight recurring issues.
• Maintain audit records and evidence per document retention and confidentiality requirements.
