Job summary

OmniOn Power Inc. in the United States seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist to audit engineering specifications and packages for accuracy and customer compliance. The role reports to the Services Quality Leader and is 100% remote.

You will track CoPQ, support TL 9000 metrics, and drive corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, PM, and Operations to improve quality and reduce costs. Candidates should have ~5 years telecom QA experience and strong Excel/SharePoint skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or GED.
• ~5 years of experience in telecom industry requirements including DC power installation, toll/fiber installation, project management.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and audit practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint for tracker maintenance and Cost of Quality calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to document audit evidence and findings.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, PLM/PDM, or document control systems.
• Understanding of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) categories and basic cost accounting concepts.
• Prior participation in internal surveillance audits or customer audits.
• Certification or training in internal auditing (not sponsoring visa).

Responsibilities

• Audit engineering specifications for accuracy and adherence to standards; document findings and drive corrections.
• Audit engineering packages (drawings, BOMs, build docs, ECNs/changes) for compliance with customer requirements.
• Audit Methods of Procedure and End of Job packages for safe, compliant installation and quality of work.
• Ensure version control and configuration alignment across requirements and deliverables.
• Track CoPQ metrics and communicate to quotations, engineering and execution teams.
• Initiate corrective actions and partner with Engineering, Quality, PM and Operations to implement fixes.
• Support TL 9000 metric collection and reporting; prepare audit checklists and gather evidence.
• Support internal surveillance audits by recording results and tracking corrective actions to closure.
• Communicate recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain audit records and evidence per retention, confidentiality, and customer requirements.
