Job summary

CAI seeks a Python/GenAI Developer to build and support AI-enabled enterprise applications. You will develop Python-based backend services, integrate Generative AI workflows, and design REST APIs using FastAPI. The role emphasizes secure, scalable cloud deployments on Google Cloud and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

The position is remote and contract-based, with opportunities to impact complex systems and leverage cutting-edge AI tooling in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of software development with strong Python backend experience.
• 1-2 years of practical Generative AI and LLM-based applications experience.
• Experience with REST APIs using Python frameworks and async processing.
• Hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience including Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment pipelines.
• Proven ability to work in Agile teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs for AI-enabled apps.
• Build Generative AI workflows with LLMs, RAG, prompt orchestration, and structured outputs.
• Develop FastAPI REST endpoints for file processing, pipelines, and external integrations.
• Implement retrieval workflows using GCP services like Vertex AI and Cloud Run.
• Process structured and unstructured data and ensure secure, scalable deployment.
• Collaborate with architects and product owners to translate requirements into features.
