Job summary

CAI is seeking a Python/GenAI Developer to build and support Python-based backend services and AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, FastAPI, and Google Cloud technologies. This contract, remote role focuses on secure, scalable AI-enabled applications across the SDLC.

You’ll design APIs, orchestrate Generative AI workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable backend components installed on modern cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of Python backend development experience.
• 1–2 years with Generative AI and LLM-based apps.
• 1–2 years with RAG solutions (embeddings, retrieval, grounding).
• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
• Hands-on with GCP services (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage).
• CI/CD, Docker, Git-based deployment, and cloud-native workflows.
• Experience with JSON/CSV/PDF data formats.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python-based backend services for AI apps.
• Develop Generative AI workflows with LLMs and RAG pipelines.
• Create FastAPI-based REST endpoints and integrations.
• Implement data parsing, validation, and downstream persistence.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholder teams across lifecycle.
• Support testing, deployment, logging, and monitoring of AI apps.
