Job summary

CAI is seeking a Python/GenAI Developer to build and enhance enterprise AI applications using Python, Generative AI, and cloud-based deployment. The role focuses on secure, scalable AI-enabled solutions with collaboration across business and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of software development experience with strong Python backend skills.
• Minimum 1-2 years of practical Generative AI and LLM-based applications experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience with RAG, document ingestion, and embeddings.
• Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, IAM, Secret Manager).
• Experience integrating AI/ML services into enterprise applications using APIs and cloud-native services.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and deployment in cloud environments.
• Experience processing structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, CSV, PDF, Word, etc.).
• Experience with source control and deployment pipelines (Git, GitLab/GitHub).
• Experience in Agile delivery teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs for AI-enabled applications.
• Build and integrate Generative AI workflows using LLMs and RAG pipelines.
• Develop FastAPI-based REST endpoints for file processing, pipeline execution, and integration.
• Implement retrieval workflows using GCP services such as Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and BigQuery.
• Develop data-processing logic for structured and unstructured inputs and downstream persistence.
• Support testing, deployment, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting across environments.
• Collaborate with architects, cloud teams, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Contribute to prompt engineering, output validation, error handling, and guardrails.
• Maintain API contracts, configuration, deployment artifacts, and reusable components.
