Job summary

CAI is seeking a Python/GenAI Developer to build and support AI-powered enterprise applications using Python, FastAPI, and Google Cloud technologies. You will design secure, scalable backend services and AI workflows, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust features.

The role emphasizes REST API design, data processing, and cloud-native deployment in a remote, contract-capable setting.

Qualifications

4–7 years of software development with strong Python backend skills.
1–2 years of practical Generative AI and LLM-based work incl. prompt engineering.
1–2 years with RAG, embeddings, and vector retrieval pipelines.
Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI/Flask and auth handling.
Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Storage, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Pub/Sub).
Cloud-native development with Docker, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
Experience processing JSON/CSV/PDF/Word data and API integration.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python backends and APIs for AI-enabled apps.
Implement Generative AI workflows with LLMs, RAG, prompt orchestration, and outputs.
Develop FastAPI-based endpoints for file processing and pipeline execution.
Integrate with GCP services like Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage.
Build data-processing logic for structured/unstructured inputs and persistence.
Support testing, deployment, logging, and monitoring across environments.
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders on features.
