Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects, with the role able to be remote or hybrid. The position emphasizes PV performance engineering, data analytics, and collaboration with internal teams.

Regular in-office presence is expected in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, with discussions during interviews. The role requires modeling experience with PV software and strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced solar and energy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering, Capacity Testing (ASTM E2848 & IEC standards) and PV data analytics.
Experience modeling with software such as PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operational activities on active projects with emphasis on safety.
Collaborate with internal teams to collect data, complete reports and deliverables.
Onboard active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
Track issues with the construction/operational fleet and communicate findings.
Troubleshoot performance data to correlate with workorder data for reporting.
Lead and mentor Performance Engineers & Analysts in daily activities.
