Job summary

Zillow Home Loans is hiring a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans for customers within Zillow’s ecosystem. You’ll guide borrowers from initial contact through funding, delivering a best-in-class experience in either a high-volume, digital environment or a relationship-driven model.

This role is remote with restrictions, based in Texas. Applicants must have 3+ years of mortgage origination experience, a valid license (NMLS) or state license, and be able to work remotely

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions.
• Completion of CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.
• Physically located in and working remotely from Texas.
• Proven success originating purchase loans in high-volume phone-based sales or agent-centric referral models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and deep understanding of the mortgage process.
• Comfortable working in a structured, performance-driven environment with clearly defined KPIs.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans via proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
• Build relationships with customers and local partners.
• Manage an active pipeline meeting service levels and funding expectations.
• Leverage CRM/LOS and data tools to manage pipeline health and engagement.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to move loans efficiently.
• Deliver high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text.
