Job summary

Zillow Home Loans is hiring a purchase-focused Mortgage Loan Officer to originate home loans for customers within Zillow’s ecosystem. You’ll guide borrowers from first contact through funding, in either a high-volume digital environment or a relationship-based model, with metrics-driven expectations.

You’ll leverage CRM, LOS, and data tools, collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams, and stay current on lending programs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage origination with emphasis on purchase transactions.
• Completed CORE Pre-Licensing Education and SAFE MLO Test – National Component.
• Located within 75 miles of Scottsdale, AZ, or willing to relocate commitments.
• Proven success in high-volume phone-based sales or agent-centric referral models.
• Strong client service orientation with consultative sales skills and mortgage knowledge.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to build trust quickly.
• Proficiency with CRM, LOS, and Microsoft Office products.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing.
• Convert opportunities into funded loans via proactive follow-up and consultation.
• Build relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents and local partners.
• Maintain an active pipeline meeting service levels and funding expectations.
• Leverage CRM, LOS, and data-driven tools to manage pipeline health and engagement.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams for loan efficiency.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text.
• Stay current on market trends, programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain licensing and complete ongoing professional development.
• Role may involve voiceprint collection for compliance purposes.
