8VA Music Consultancy seeks a highly organized Publicity Assistant to join our team. This remote role focuses on administrative tasks, pitching stories to media, and supporting account teams for orchestras, music festivals, and soloists.

You will collaborate with managers, draft social content, submit listings, and help coordinate media engagements. A Bachelor's degree and strong communication are essential; the ideal candidate loves classical music and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in performing arts
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with social media platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok)
• Basic graphic/web design and video editing skills are a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Correspond with clients and managers, handling requests with discretion and initiative
• Pitch stories, projects and events to media for client coverage
• Serve as client account contact for a small group of clients
• Create and execute social media content
• Submit clients’ concert listings across relevant online event platforms
• Assist with media scheduling and coordination for clients
• Assemble and provide client materials for media engagements
• Attend client meetings and provide meeting minutes as needed
• Support efficient office workflow and administrative systems
• Conduct research and support for special projects, reporting to the Managing Director
