Job summary

BetterHelp is a technology-enabled mental health marketplace delivering psychiatric care remotely through a telemedicine platform. This part-time independent contractor role requires an active MD/DO license and at least one year of experience, with strong patient communication in a virtual setting.

Providers will conduct video consultations, diagnose and prescribe when appropriate, and develop individualized treatment plans while coordinating with therapists.

Qualifications

• Licensed psychiatrist with an active MD/DO license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed psychiatrist.
• Experience prescribing medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by state law.
• Proficient with telemedicine platforms and online tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct video consultations and communicate with patients through telemedicine.
• Assess, screen, diagnose, and prescribe medication when clinically appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
• Coordinate treatment planning and care delivery with BetterHelp's network of licensed therapists.
• Deliver empathetic, high-quality care while upholding BetterHelp's clinical and service standards.
• Share feedback with product, engineering, and operations teams to help improve the provider and patient experience.
