Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to provide direct psychiatric care with potential leadership and clinical oversight responsibilities. The role supports a hybrid care model across North Carolina, with a focus on team‑based, evidence‑based treatment and high‑quality patient care.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, manage treatment plans, and document care through an EMR. Telepsychiatry options are available and in‑person care occurs at designated sites as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Psychiatry residency training.
• ABPN board certification required.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in multiple states or willing to obtain licenses.
• Deep understanding of NP scope of practice in psychiatry and related state regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills.
• Must be licensed and located in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management sessions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence‑based psychiatric care for mood, anxiety, psychotic disorders, ADHD, and related conditions.
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and social workers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical documentation within the EMR system.
