Health Information Associates is seeking a Medical Coding Review Consultant to manage provider review data projects remotely. The role emphasizes data management, transformation, and project coordination across secure portals.

You will prep audits, run data extractions, compile samples, and support client deliverables while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and high accuracy. Strong Excel, ETL, and collaboration skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience with ETL data transformation ensuring data integrity.
• Experience with transformation tools such as OpenRefine, ASAP Utilities or Microsoft SQL.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivottables, data analysis).
• Proficiency with MS Teams and OneNote.
• ICD-10-CM, E&M, CPT knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review prep calls and document client objectives for audits.
• Create project entries in audit databases (Particle) and secure portal folders (Nucleus).
• Schedule kickoff calls with client and project lead.
• Manage contact lists in Particle and assign portal access roles.
• Create/manage Microsoft Team and OneNote Notebooks for each client and update policies and project details.
• Check files for content accuracy and load data into templates for audits.
• Load data into the audit database and import it into templates.
• Track weekly progress in client and HIA spreadsheets.
• Prepare and import pull lists for monthly interim projects.
• Assist with importing rebuttals and client notifications.
• Run customized reports as needed.
• Run Outstanding Tracking Reports and share with consultants.
• Assist with chart replacements and project setup in audit databases.
• Prepare and distribute client reports; coordinate QA reviews.
• Ensure secure portal access and IT follow-up.
