Job summary

MPI partners with a well-established government construction contractor to fill a Proposal Manager / Senior Estimator role. This fully remote opportunity focuses on identifying opportunities, leading proposal efforts, and supporting high-profile public sector projects across the East Coast.

The client performs federal, state, and municipal work with typical project values between $2M and $10M, emphasizing communication, trust, flexibility, and longevity within a senior, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating or senior estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Proven experience preparing bids, estimates, and proposals for commercial and/or public sector projects.
• Government, federal, military, VA, or public-sector project experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate federal, state, municipal, and commercial project opportunities for pursuit.
• Lead the development of competitive proposals, bids, and estimating packages.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Coordinate with internal leadership and operations teams on bid strategy and project pursuits.
• Manage the proposal process from opportunity identification through final submission.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Prepare scheduling assumptions and project timelines using scheduling software.
• Support preconstruction efforts and provide estimating expertise to executive leadership.
