Zusammenfassung

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle on-site inspections for residential and commercial property claims, including weather-related events, within the Greater Los Angeles area. You will be the first contact, explain coverage, estimate damages, gather evidence, and support claim resolutions with a focus on exceptional service.

This remote-field role requires a valid driver’s license, comfort with travel, and the ability to work flexible hours.

• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately to real-world situations.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately in practical situations.
• Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to move claims forward efficiently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to handle difficult/emotional conversations with a customer-minded focus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims both in the field and remotely.
• Physical agility to allow for walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing a ladder, and traversing roofs for inspection.
• May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training.
• A valid driver’s license is required, as driving is an essential function; MVR checks are part of the process.

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for both residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
• Interact with parties who express emotions or concerns about inspections or resolutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries promptly.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support claims handling.
• Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, considering policy provisions and standards.
