Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to perform on-site inspections for residential and commercial claims. You will collaborate with policyholders and agents to gather facts, assess damages, and guide claim resolutions with excellent service.

The role requires knowledge of property policies, construction, and applicable regulations, plus strong communication and analytical skills. A valid driver''s license is essential, and occasional travel/remote work is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in property claims.
• Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage and claim handling.
• Knowledge of both residential and commercial building construction.
• Familiarity with local regulations in your assigned territory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, agents and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using claims management software.
• A valid driver''s license is required.
• May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and others to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
• Explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide insureds through the claims process while delivering remarkable service.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support claims handling.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and terms to determine claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits.
