State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle on-site and remote inspections for residential and commercial claims from Chillicothe, MO. The role requires strong investigative, analytical, and communication skills, plus the ability to operate in a remote-field environment and travel within assigned territories.

Qualifications

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions
• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately to real-world situations
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately
• Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to move claims forward efficiently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to handle difficult/emotional conversations with a customer-minded focus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency in using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims both in the field and remotely
• Physical agility to walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, climb ladders and traverse roofs for inspections

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently
• Meet with insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support the claims handling process
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, considering policy provisions and guidelines
