Job summary

American Family Insurance Claims Services (AFICS, Inc.) is seeking Field Adjusters or Senior Field Adjusters to investigate and settle property claims with a customer‑driven focus. The role is primarily home‑based and requires occasional on‑site visits within a two‑hour drive of the Denver metro area, with travel up to 75% during catastrophes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in property field claims, familiarity with Xactimate, and strong knowledge of casualty policies.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer-driven solutions or service.
• Experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across territories.
• Experience handling moderately complex claims or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of casualty coverages or endorsements.
• Solid understanding of each phase of the claim handling process.

Responsibilities

• Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts and other involved parties.
• Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed.
• Handle claims on a good-faith basis.
• Handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conduct on-site inspections when needed, evaluate damages and negotiate with involved parties.
• Respond to inquiries, provide status updates and close files.
• Apply policy language to losses and communicate coverage determinations.
