Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; IIA-AIC designation within 12–18 months encouraged.
• State adjuster license required.
• Three years of related experience preferred; property and casualty claims experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates policies, claims forms, endorsements and records to determine coverage.
• Conducts investigations, gathers reports, inspects damages to determine liability.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses and documents findings.
• Estimates repair costs and settlements under carrier instructions.
• Prepares findings reports and negotiates settlements; handles subpoenas and subrogation as applicable.
• Recommends litigation when settlements cannot be negotiated.
• Maintains an efficient caseload and uses technology for claim handling.
