Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must obtain IIA-AIC designation within 12 to 18 months in the role.
• Appropriate state adjuster license is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates policies, forms and records to determine coverage.
• Conducts investigations, gathers reports, consults records, inspects damage.
• Interviews claimants and witnesses regarding claims.
• Estimates repair, replacement or compensation costs.
• Prepares findings and negotiates settlements per carrier instructions.
• Issues settlements and handles salvage/subrogation as applicable.
• Recommends litigation when settlement cannot be negotiated.
• Attends hearings and depositions as needed.
• Maintains caseload and uses technology for efficient handling.
