Assurant offers a 12-week Internship Program designed to provide hands-on experience in Claims Operations, with mentorship, networking, and a structured summer project. The role focuses on residential property claims, cross-functional learning, and customer experience improvements.

As a Claims Processing Operations Intern, you will gain real-world exposure to claims lifecycle, quality, compliance, training, and technology, while developing professional skills in a Fortune 500 setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with at least one semester remaining after summer internship.
• Preferred majors include business administration, insurance, risk management, finance, communications, operations or related field.
• Ability to participate in the full internship May 17, 2027 through August 7, 2027 and work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Learn how residential property claims are reviewed, documented, processed, and resolved.
• Support operational activities involving claim documentation, reporting, workflow management, quality review, and process improvement.
• Work with Claims professionals across different business areas to understand their responsibilities and contributions to the claim lifecycle.
• Assist with research, data gathering, analysis, and documentation supporting current business priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve a Claims process, workflow, technology, training approach, or customer experience.
• Complete a structured summer project with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable deliverables.
• Present project findings, insights, and recommendations to Claims colleagues and leaders.
• Participate in team meetings, professional-development activities, mentorship, and the enterprise internship learning program.
