Assurant’s Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience for students to tackle real business challenges and drive outcomes. The program blends hands-on work with learning, mentorship, and networking within a Fortune 500 organization.

The Claims Operations Intern will gain exposure to residential property claims, supporting processing, quality, and customer experience initiatives while completing a summer project and presenting findings to leaders.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and will have at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Available to participate May 17, 2027 through August 7, 2027.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Learn how residential property claims are reviewed, documented, processed, and resolved.
• Support documentation, reporting, workflow management, quality review, and process improvement.
• Work with Claims professionals across different business areas to understand responsibilities and contributions to the claim lifecycle.
• Assist with research, data gathering, analysis, and documentation supporting current business priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve a Claims process, workflow, technology, training approach, or customer experience.
• Complete a structured summer project with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable deliverables.
• Present project findings, insights, and recommendations to Claims colleagues and leaders.
