Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Field Claims Specialist II, Property to investigate and resolve moderate to severe property claims, combining phone and in-person assessments. This role requires strong customer service, solid knowledge of Xactimate, and the ability to work across locations within the designated territory.

Ideal candidates live in the Salt Lake City area or nearby, with willingness to travel and perform inspections.

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Licensing: State licensing where required; obtain Xactimate Level 1 within 1 year and Level 2 within 2 years.
• Experience: 3–5 years of related property claims experience; customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all assigned claims promptly and effectively with minimal direction.
• Determine proper policy coverages and apply claims practices.
• Open/close/adjust reserves; ensure reserve adequacy.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance guidelines and local market pricing.
• Submit reports to claims management as needed.
• Indicate and inspect properties in rooftop environments as required.
