Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle on-site inspections and assess damages for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses. You will be the first point of contact for insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process with remarkable service.

The role requires handling residential and commercial claims, collaborating with agents, and traveling as needed within a remote-field setup.

Qualifications

Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions
Ability to interpret detailed policies and apply them to real-world situations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling difficult conversations
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Proficiency in using mobile/desktop tools to document claims in the field and remotely
May require Rope and Harness Safety Training and a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims
Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process
Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports
Investigate and adjust property claims with exposures up to $500,000
Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and compliance
Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits
