Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks an experienced Director of Property Claims for a remote role with 30–40% travel. You will lead property claims operations across a broad geographic territory, aligning performance, customer experience and associate development.

The position requires 10+ years in claims and strong leadership capabilities. You will supervise multiple teams, collaborate with Legal, SIU/Fraud, Subrogation and Quality Assurance, and drive strategic initiatives while adapting

Qualifications

• 10+ years of property claims experience with complex losses, coverage interpretation and settlement.
• Leadership of managers and teams with a focus on performance, coaching and talent development.
• Strong knowledge of insurance theory, property estimating and claims processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage property claims units within a geographic location.
• Coordinate with quality assurance, legal, subrogation and fraud teams.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve metrics, compliance and customer experience.
• Formulate and coordinate regional plans, goals and long-range objectives.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to Nationwide customers.
• Identify and develop associates for critical roles and leadership pipeline.
• Oversee performance management, salary planning, training and staffing decisions.
